GW Carver Foundation Motown Madness Event Review: A wonderful evening was enjoyed by many
local community members, representatives, and staff. Enjoying the smooth soulful sound of Nate &
Company, while dining on stuffed chicken breasts provided by the one and only Chicken Pantry. Once
again the highlight of the evening was the wonderful “Cake Auction”. Twenty seven sweet treats donated
by local community members were auctioned off by Commissioner Nate McLaughlin, assisted by Flagler
School Staff. Many items collected $170, with ALL proceeds benefiting the GW Carver Foundation the
fundraising arm for the GW Carver Community Center. A great evening raising money for a super cause,
can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday evening! Thank you one and all, for organizing and
participating in this event, and helping make the dreams of Carver Community Center participants a
hopefully reality.

addition onto the front of the Carver Community Center. Thank you for donating items and experiences to
list and special thanks to every participant who placed a bid!
