Monitoring Idalia
(updated 8/28/23, 6:15pm)
The Youth Center & Carver Center will close at 5:00pm on Tuesday, August 29th to allow time for our staff and families to prepare their homes. Please see the update below from Flagler Schools regarding school closure.
"Following Governor Ron DeSantis placing Flagler County in a State of Emergency earlier today, Flagler Schools Interim Superintendent LaShakia Moore has made the decision to close all schools on Wednesday, August 30, in anticipation of the impending effects of what is now Tropical Storm Idalia. Additional days may be needed depending on the aftermath of the storm.
Mrs. Moore urges our families to follow any Flagler County Emergency Operations Center emergency orders during this time.
All outdoor after-school activities planned for Tuesday, August 29th, have been canceled. However, indoor activities, including extended-day programs, will still take place."
