Director’s Message: As we enter into March, things really are beginning to get heated up at the Carver Community Center!  Flagler County Schools spring break runs the week of March 16th - 20th and here at Carver we will be holding open gym everyday from 2pm - 6pm and the Youth Center will be open from   2 - 7pm. During Spring break, the G.W. Carver Community Center will be closed for annual cleaning. Following spring break, the Carver Center will be the place to be! The Flagler Basketball League will be in full swing with their spring season, practicing during the week and games on the weekends. Contact Fitzgerald Belgrave (belgravef@flaglerschools.com) to get registered today!  Registration ends soon.    

March Motown Madness: Mark your calendars NOW, for Saturday March 21st at 6:00pm, Because Motown Madness is back, here at the G.W. Carver Community Center! The Dinner and Dance will feature music by the popular group “Traces of Gold.” The event is designed for everyone to have a super fun time, while raising funds for the George Washington Carver Foundation. Tickets are $50pp, and can be purchased by contacting Jordan Butler at butlerjordan@flaglerschools.com

Road to Success Program:  This past month RTS reached 226 GEDs earned, with 27 students obtaining honors.   We had two more students enlist in the military and 3 students who enrolled into college.   Students are interning at East Coast Gym, Flagler Humane Society and Flagler Youth Center.   Students received presentations and workshops from Department of Juvenile Justice “Know the Law”, met with the Army recruiter, completed Food Handlers ServSafe and First Aid & CPR credentials.  UF/IFAS Extension Family Nutrition Program conducted healthy eating workshop and are looking forward to a busy March.

PIZZA PARLE: Pizza Parle’:   Pizza Parle’ is one of the hottest dinner and mentor events for the elementary youth of Bunnell.  Come in for FREE pizza and some good conversations with Pastor Eli. Due to Spring Break this month, Pizza Parle’ will be taking a break. The next Pizza Parle will be on Wednesday, April 15 at 6:00pm.
